Jean-Marc Burnett
Jean-Marc founded the Reaction roster in 2018. Prior to that he had been successfully managing Scottish alt-rockers Altered Sky independently for some time. This was to be the spark that lead him onto a journey where he now oversees one of the biggest grassroots roster of artists in the UK. In the early 90s Jean-Marc studied music management and performance in Glasgow, and for the next 15 years travelled Europe with a number of bands, writing, recording and performing live. He became an established booker with local rock and metal bands during that period too promoting shows across Glasgow. Under his guidance and direction, Reaction has overseen over 400 music releases and that success has brought about the creation of a new sister company, Reaction Radio PR, which he co-runs with Bonnie Ross.

Shannon McLean
Graduating from the University of Glasgow with a 2:1 in Business Management and Music in the summer of 2023, Shannon then went onto join the Reaction Management team as festival booker later this year. During her time at university, she discovered a passion for advocating for inclusivity within the music industry through conducting her 10,000 word dissertation project on the support and representation of disabled musicians within the industry. As well as this, Shannon is particularly interested in supporting grassroots music and does so through her voluntary work at online music blog Discovery Music Scotland. Joining the Discovery Music team over four years ago as a writer, Shannon now manages their digital platforms with an aim to promote all that the Scottish music scene has to offer.

Dave Maxwell
After years of playing in bands and touring across the country Dave decided it would be great to give something back to the grassroots community and help others. In that time he performed at many festivals including T In The Park, and featured across the likes of BBC Introducing, Kerrang, Scuzz and STV. Dealing with booking agents, radio, blogs and zines allowed him to develop skills for management. Through this networking he joined Reaction and has been an integral part of the team to this day. Dave also tours Europe regularly with his pipe band, competing in championships and performing in venues.

Bonnie Ross
Bonnie has always been passionate about grassroots music. Over the past two years, that passion has only grown – getting back to playing in a band, writing with Discovery Music Scotland while working on podcasts and social media too. Now, with the launch of her own music promotion business and publication, Bonnie Scotland Presents, she’s dedicated to championing emerging independent artists. The next logical step is to help bands level up and reach their goals.

Jamie Mayes
Music has always been a huge part of Jamie Mayes’ life, from playing in bands, and touring the UK. He decided it was time to step back from the stage and concentrate on life behind the scenes. Having a basis in artist and tour management, he has worked on tours across Europe and the US several times. Jamie has a degree with distinction in Music Business and gives his all in building the careers of grassroots artists.

Harry Stalker
Since starting his studies at Newcastle College in September 2024, Harry discovered a passion for band management after managing the bands he played in for around a year. Harry is particularly focused on booking gigs and tours, and pushing bands up past the local level. Harry still plays gigs with his band and tours as a session musician for a blues artist, but his specialty is indie rock. With a strong knowledge of national venues and bands Harry can help any band out nationally.
